Do i really need a psp memory stick

Your family recently purchased a PSP system and now everyone is fighting over it. Who had it last, why was something erased, played with, you know the drill if your children have to share something as important to them as a PSP system. While being the referee is not easy when it comes to dividing the time between them, it is imperative that everyone gets their fair share of time. One way to help avoid problems is to give each of them their own PSP memory stick. The PSP memory stick is the same as the PS2 memory card in their previous gaming system. The PSP memory stick comes in many different sizes and range in cost of $20 to more than $180. The cost is directly related to the memory size of the stick. The PSP memory stick can be * MSX-M8GS 8 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo * MSX-M4GS 4 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo * MSX-M2GN 2GB High Speed Memory Stick PRO Duo * MSX-M2GS 2 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo * MSX-M512S 512 MB Memory Stick PRO Duo * MSX-M1GST 1 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo * MSX-M256S 256 MB Memory Stick PRO Duo What does this mean for you as a parent? How about a little less arguing over who did what on the PSP system. Each family member that uses the PSP can have their own memory stick where they can download their stuff. So, what exactly will the PSP memory stick do? It was developed to allow the copying, sharing and exchange of information between a wide variety of different products. The memory stick is compact, light, reliable and easy to handle and can hold a variety of digital content from photos and computer data, to short movies, to music videos, moving images, and game files. You can also download files from the internet directly onto you computer and then transfer them over a USB cable to the memory stick that you will use in your PSP. This and probably a lot more can be stored on this single small drive. The PSP memory stick is versatile, compatible and user-friendly making it good for even younger children. It is one of the most popular choices when it comes to portable memory for people who enjoy using and seeing their digital content anywhere or any time they want. At one time the memory stick was a very expensive accessory. Now, due to more competition in the market place among retailers and lower costs to make them, the prices just keep dropping. It is conceivable that every member in the family will have more than one memory stick for their own personal use. Start keeping the peace in your family. Go out and purchase a PSP memory stick for everyone that uses the system. You will not regret investing a few more dollars if it gets the children to stop fighting over the PSP system. Now, it will not get them to stop fight over other things, but any step forward is keeping the arguing and fighting down is worth the money.

What is voip used for in business

VoIP, VoIP, VoIP. These three letters are all over the place. You know that the acronym is related to communications and computers. You know it’s the next "in" thing technologically. But what is VoIP? And how can your business benefit from it? The Next Big Thing The letters actually stand for Voice over Internet Protocol, sometimes called IP Telephony. Simply put, it is another way of making a phone call. Sometimes, the actual telephone is not present anymore. It is especially useful for long distance calls. The reason for the massive interest in this new technology is cost. VoIP can be thought of as very inexpensive but in reality, a lot of people use it for free. All that is actually needed is a microphone, speakers, and a good Internet connection. Tell Me More What is VoIP? It is another way of making a phone call. But how do you actually use it? The first method is to have a computer on both ends of the call. The second is to have a phone on one end and a computer on the other. The third is to have a telephone on both ends of the call. What is VoIP? It is a way to save on your organization’s telecom bill. It maximizes the existing infrastructure without significant additional costs. VoIP transmits the audio received on one end over the Internet and converts the digital data back into audio at the other end. Seamless and efficient. Almost magical, even. In effect, you only pay your Internet bill since you’re using the same resources. Only this time, those resources are being co-opted to carry voice as well as data. What is VoIP? It is scalable to your needs. Although it is essentially free with your Internet access, there are additional levels of VoIP that do cost something. Using it with a regular telephone handset is one example. Using it with a cellular phone is another. However, this is more inexpensive than a regular phone call. And that is emphasized even more with international calls. In fact, it is possible to cut international call costs by as much as 90 percent. No Business Like Call Business So what is VoIP? It is an exciting new adaptation of existing resources to cut communications costs and it is rapidly gaining wide acceptance. There is a great deal to improve but it is a leading candidate to replace the regular telephone system. VoIP’s growth today is, in large part, due to consumerawareness of its many benefits. This is not to say it does not have drawbacks. Security is a main concern. Nevertheless, the possibilities of VoIP are limitless. It is a great boon to businesses. In today’s competitive market, you can’t communicate enough and VoIP helps by reducing the related costs. At the same time, it utilizes a company’s existing investment in the Internet. It is also largely transparent to the user which is a great thing since you don’t need to learn to reinvent the wheel.

Notebook or desktop computer what is the best buy

The idea of purchasing a personal computer may be appealing to a lot of people, however they may feel undecided as weather to go for a traditional desktop computer or for a light weight portable notebook. Several aspects should be taken into consideration as for the purposes of such acquisition. If the main purpose of buying a computer is for occasional use, regardless if it is for work or entertainment activities, one may consider buying a traditional desktop computer taking in consideration that its price is usually lower than the portable version. The maintenance and eventual upgrade of a desktop computer is also much easier to perform and less costly. If the buyer is looking to spend the least amount of money, definitely the desktop computer models offer more choices of finding better deals weather it is used or new. One may look around the local computer stores for special deals or may consider browsing the many possibilities offered online stores. Perhaps the greatest feature a desktop computer has is the fact that quite often it can be upgraded and personalized to suit the user needs without having to be sent back to the manufacturer. In most cases a local authorized computer store can perform the technical changes or upgrades to satisfaction. The desktop computers are meant for work and leisure as well and regardless of its configuration or how fast it can perform, it seems that it became an everyday tool of modern times. On the other hand, if the main reason for the purchasing of a computer is portability, then in this case the notebook will be the right choice. There are several brand names available on the market offering all kinds of configurations, from very basic up to the most sophisticated and powerful late models of notebooks. After a careful research on which model will better suit your needs, then you will still have the option to choose to buy a new, reconditioned or used unit for the sake of saving some money. Keep in mind that a reconditioned laptop purchased from a computer store, usually comes will full warranty, just like as if you had purchased a brand new model but for a much less cost. Just like any other purchase, it is important to do a careful research to find out what exactly your needs are and what are you going to do with it. The lightweight and portable notebooks are much nicer to carry around even though they are usually more expensive. Also the lightweight models almost always have a smaller screen and a more compact keyboard than traditional models of notebooks. So, in this case if weight is not a critical issue, than you may just consider to purchase a traditional regular-model notebook as long as it meets your requirements. If you choose this later option you will certainly be saving a great amount of money. If you are the kind of person who feels skeptical about purchasing a reconditioned computer, because it has been previously returned from the manufacturer, relax, some times there is absolutely nothing wrong with the returned unit. It may have just been a matter of model preference or some minor detail that didn`t quite match the previous owner`s preference. Keep in mind that a reconditioned notebook with a full warranty is just as good as a brand new one and maybe even better for the great discount it usually offers. Also you may find some good deals in refurbished notebooks. Beware that the difference between refurbished and reconditioned notebooks is that the former is usually an older notebook that has been used and then reconditioned, often by a third party, and the later usually means that it had some problem, went back to the manufacturer, got fixed and now it is available at a fair discount price with full manufacturer guarantee. The right solution for one`s computer related tasks, whether desktop or notebook, will depend mostly on one`s working or leisure needs. Search carefully for the best deals and avoid paying extra for accessories you will hardly use. Also take a look at reconditioned (full warranty) computers. The price will certainly surprise you. And the performance might too! Roberto Sedycias IT Consultant This article is under GNU FDL license and can be distributed without any previous authorization from the author. Refurbished cellular phones should you buy a refurbished cellular phone

Let’s be honest, buying refurbished cellular phones isn’t exactly the most sexy notion in the world. But it might be the most sensible. In this short article, I’ll be going over a few of the main reasons why you might want to consider buying a refurbished cell phone over a new one. The biggest (and most obvious) reason for purchasing a refurbished mobile phone is to save money. Many factory reconditioned or “refurbished” cell phones carry the complete manufacturers warranty but come at a deeply discounted price. Basically, you’ll be buying a phone that has been purchased, gently used, and sent back to the manufacturer due to a defect. The phone maker repairs the phone, fixes the problem, and then offers it as a refurbished item to another buyer at a discount. While buying a “factory reconditioned” mobile phone may sound scary to some, it really shouldn’t be something that you’re afraid of. In most cases, if you didn’t know that the phone was reconditioned before buying it, you would never know the difference. Many people have the impression that a refurbished phone will show signs of use, but nothing could be further from the truth. Overall, I think that buying a refurbished, factory reconditioned cell phone is a great way to save some money on the hottest new mobile phones being made today. Hopefully this short article has given you some helpful ideas on why it may be worthwhile to consider purchasing a refurbished cellular phone. With refurbished phones, you’ll be able to buy the latest handsets at a nice discount off the manufacturers suggested retail price, and they usually carry the original warranty. Last but not least, your jealous friends will never know that the phone you bought was factory reconditioned! Highly recommended!

Flash minidrive or hard drive which mp3 player is right for you

If you’re ready to ditch the Walkman and go high-tech with your portable music needs, you’re probably in the market for an MP3 player. For the non-gadget geeks among us, selecting a digital music player involves navigating some choppy waters. It’s easy to get bowled over by the waves of new technology—shuffles, nanos…where do you start? As with any purchase, you can start by assessing your needs. There are three major types of MP3 players: flash, microdrive, and hard drive. Each has its pros and cons, many of which are dependent upon how you plan to use your MP3 player. First, think about the size of your music collection. Do you have a modest sized collection of just your all-time faves or are you the live-for-music type who’s first in line when a new CD comes out? At most, a flash MP3 player will hold the equivalent of approximately 20 CDs. This size could be just right for people who plan to use their MP3 players mainly for their daily workouts. The microdrive is the middle ground. They hold anywhere from 50 to 120 CDs. For the majority of us, a microdrive is big enough to hold most every song we want. If not, then you want the hard drive MP3 player. These puppies will hold your entire collection—as many as 1200 CDs. The size and weight of each type of MP3 player corresponds with the amount of music it can hold. A hard drive is going to be bigger and heavier than a flash player. Price works the same way. You’ll pay more for a player that holds more. You can get a flash MP3 player for less than $150, a minidrive for $150-250, and a hard drive for $250 and up. Next, think about where you’ll be taking your MP3 player. For example, if you want something you can listen to at the gym, a flash player might be the right choice because it tends to be lighter. A hard drive player would be bulky and heavy, at least in relation to a workout. The flash is also a good choice for someone who wants something to listen to for short periods of time, such as during a commute. If you’ll be listening to your MP3 player for hours on end, you’ll want something that holds more music. It won’t take long to go through the 20 CDs worth of songs on a flash. A minidrive is a good compromise. It’s relatively small and light, but still holds enough music to prevent your favorite song from becoming your least favorite song because you’ve listened to it 30 times. We’ve said that the hard drive MP3 player is bigger and heavier than the other two kinds. That’s only relatively speaking, of course. It’s hardly like lugging around a concrete block. If you want all your music with you all the time, a hard drive is the way to go. For instance, this type of player is good for someone who goes on long trips without access to their collection for switching out songs.

Tips for choosing a flat screen tv part 2

Nearly all flat screen televisions sold in the last two years accept digital input, which is a good thing. However, there are two different digital standards to be aware of. HD-Ready gives 1366 x 768 resolution (which is 1366 columns by 768 rows) in a 10:6 aspect ratio closer to a movie theater. 1080p and 1080i use higher resolution, with 1920 columns by 1080 rows. The 'p' and 'i' means progressive and interlaced scanning, respectively, with the latter being the best possible resolution. A TV with either of these resolutions should be digital ready, but double check and read the small print; you may need to buy a digital TV tuner to plug into the back of your new flat panel TV if it's not. The reason why this matters now is three fold. First, HD-Ready TVs can be had for discount prices, often under a thousand dollars, fully digital ready. This is because it's a stop gap to the higher resolution of 1080. Second, unless you have satellite TV, for the next two or three years, most (if not all) of the digital content you'll be watching is formatted for the lower resolution anyway. Third, while the mandatory rollout for all digital broadcasting has been set for 2008, there has been no standard defined for what resolution those broadcasts will be in. It may make sense to buy an HD-Ready TV and wait on the more expensive model. Unless the price is really good, make sure that your TV is digital ready. (An exception on the "hold off on 1080" mantra is HD-DVD and Blu-Ray DVD formats, both of which can use the full resolution. If you watch a lot of DVDs and are planning on upgrading to one of the high definition formats, it's worth it to get the better picture now. On the other hand, by the time enough material comes out on either of those formats, and they come out with DVD players that can handle both of them, the 1080is might be as cheap as the HD-Ready TVs are now.) When buying your flat screen TV, it seriously pays to comparison shop. The market is transitioning; what used to be a high margin luxury item is, due to increasing LCD fabrication capability, becoming a commodity electronics purchase, and many manufacturers are in a price war, trying to make up for thinner profit margins on volume. As a result, if you scout around, you can usually find a model that's being phased out and liquidated cheap to clear floor space, particularly online.

The eye that never blinks at the pool cctv cameras

Afraid of drowning in a swimming pool? You shouldn’t be. The Poseidon, an underwater surveillance system, can detect problems and immediately activate beepers to alert lifeguards. The image and location of the drowning person is instantly captured on the CCTV cameras, and a life is saved. Rewind and fast forward Once upon a time, people drowning in pools mostly, well, drowned. It was always too late before they were discovered, often already floating lifeless or unconscious. A drowning person probably just slipped without a noise, without the dramatic hand-waving that they do in the movies. Real life drowning is not theatrical and often goes unnoticed because the person just goes under without warning. The terror of losing a loved one to drowning is something we want to avoid, so you stand watch over your children while lifeguards scan the pool or beach with their binoculars for unusual movements. But still, lapses can happen in the blink of an eye. Accidental drowning is the 7th leading cause of death for all age groups, the second leading cause of death for children in the 1-14 years age bracket. Drowning can happen at the beach, your home pool, a bathtub or bucket filled with water, or even in soup. When surveillance is a security, not an intrusion The welcome arrival of underwater surveillance has changed how we look at surveillance systems. In this case, we understand that when it comes to matters of life and death in very familiar places, like the public and home pool, we dare not object. True, there is a lot of debate surrounding surveillance security. But debacles aside, the invention of electronic surveillance, including CCTV, has thwarted dangerous intentions. Now the grandfather of all surveillance is here. This CCTV surveillance is not your regular home and office electronic spies. These are underwater devices designed to detect movement and problems in public and private swimming pools. The Poseidon is a network of cameras that sweeps its unblinking eyes above and below the surface of the swimming pool. The Poseidon has already saved a life, that of 18-year-old Jean Francois LeRoy of Ancenis, France. Without warning, LeRoy, who was underwater practicing apnea swimming, drowned without warning. The unblinking eyes found him in milliseconds and alerted the lifeguards with incessant beeps. Thus, he was saved in time before brain damage set in. The Poseidon CCTV is the perfect tool for lifeguards. With this in place, lifeguards increase their chances of saving lives and averting the irreversible damage that may be caused by drowning incidents. Swimming and safety measures Still, we can’t be so sure at all times. Here are some safety tips for at home and public pools: 1. The home pool should be high-fenced so children cannot clamber over it. 2. Cover the pool with netting. 3. Do not leave buckets filled or even half-filled with water. Very young children can drown within seconds in buckets. 4. Do not rely on your children’s swim wings, they might slip off unnoticed. 5. Do not also depend on your child’s swimming lessons to save himself. The child will panic and forget all lessons. 6. Never swim alone. As a further precaution, when swimming in public pools, inquire if there is a CCTV system in and above the swimming pool, just to be sure. You’ll be confident knowing these are around because these cameras never blink.
